Death has stranded.
Had a ton of fun and learned so incredibly much in the month that I worked on this project! Inspired by the great video game Death Stranding by Hideo Kojima. (and yes, that is totally delicious procedural mud.)

For this scene, I knew I wanted a big plane of muddy surface. So as to not have repeating patterns or, god forbid, sculpt it all manually, I built a procedural mud shader in Redshift and C4D based on a few ground textures I had lying around. The result is mud that looks wet, a little out of this world, and as a VFX YouTuber said, 'delicious'.
